All League Meet

Hi again, the All League Meet is now only three weeks away. And we only have until this Thursday to submit our entries for the meet we just found out.

The logistics of scheduling our student athletes for this meet are always, shall we say, a bit of a challenge.

We have more scheduling constraints than a normal meet; we only get 2 slots per field event per squad (e.g., two boys for JV for Long Jump, etc.), and only three per running event per squad.

So rather than have you all spam us with email, I am sending out an evite (online invitation from evite.com) so you can respond yes or no if your son or daughter will be attending. We hope everyone will be. Generally we try to get everyone in two events.

On JV, first priority goes to 5th and 6th graders, since the 4th graders have their own meet.

You should have an email this evening for sure, it will be from me, Tom Hachten, St. Theresa Track and Field. If you don't get it, check your spam folder (the domain is mail.evite.cc, so it's very possible it will end up in spam if you whitelist emails); if not, then let me know. I already got mine as of 7:38 pm.

Please reply no later than Tuesday, May 6 with your decision. There's nothing worse than us not hearing back about a child coming to the meet (and assuming they are not coming), then having him or her show up and not being scheduled. We can't substitute the day of the meet, it's drop only then which means if someone does not show up who is in a relay, the whole team will be scratched.

We hope your daughter or son is having a great season, we appreciate the feedback we have gotten so far.
